A new Camaro Espinoza is coming soon.

If you go to the page containing my bibliography, another Camaro Espinoza book is coming. It’s scheduled for Q1 2025, and I hope it will be January, not March. This will likely be the last in the series.

I’ve been writing stories about Camaro for twelve years, and I’ve never gotten tired of her. Even as I’ve seen television and movies over the same period try and fail to make a character like her, she’s endured, buoyed up by endorsements from authors like David Morrell and Craig Johnson. She was never anything less than compelling, and it will be a sad day when I finally let her go. But it’s probably time.

My original plan had been to write and publish ten Camaro stories. Far From Home will be the eighth, so I came close. If this ends up being the last significant Camaro tale ever told, it will also be considered one of the best. I am incredibly proud of the work I put into Far From Home, and I think when you read it, you’ll agree that it’s an appropriate and thrilling sendoff.

What comes after Camaro? That’s a more challenging question to answer. When you work with a character for a dozen years, you have a relationship with them that’s different than with one-and-done books. Having had that relationship with Camaro, I don’t know if I’d want to attempt to recreate the experience.
